Hi I'm Chase Moses

I live in Rexburg, Idaho. I love music. I love my family. I love being active, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Ever since I was young, I have enjoyed sitting down and playing on the computer. I also spent most of my time reading any book I could get my hands on. As the years went by, I have broadened my horizons and have branched out, trying new things such as playing the piano, singing, playing sports (especially basketball), learning a few languages and writing, in addition to reading and playing on the computer. I also received my Eagle Scout award. At some point in my life, I would like to have mastered a few languages and have written and published a series of books. I also want to learn the violin and/or guitar, while perfecting my ability to plunk on a piano. Some people say I am funny. Others think I am crazy. Kids especially think I am silly. But to me, you only life life once, so why not have some fun too? I enjoy making others happy and smile. I also want to help others in addition to making them happy. Because of that desire, I also have the desire to help other people in any situation. I am preparing to go to college, where I want to go into the medical field to help change lives. As others around me are happy, I've found that I become even happier in the process.

Why I am a Mormon

My family was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was born. As I grew up, I became more independent about what activities I wanted to pursue and where I spent most of my time. Unfortunately, going to church wasn't one of those high priorities on my "To Do List". There have been many times where I would try to get out of going to church, just so I can do those things that I wanted to do. At one point in my life, when I was 18, I came to realize that my life really had no purpose. I wasn't really accomplishing much with my life. Serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints became a possibility, and all of my friends and family kept asking me if I wanted to go and share what I knew to be true with others. How could I do that if I didn't know what was true? So I started to read the scriptures and pray. I wanted to know what my purpose was in life, and what my purpose would be if I served a mission. One night, I watched a video of a girl who made sock monkeys for those going through a medical trial, as she herself was going through struggles with her own health. That video touched my heart. That video told me that we all have our struggles, but if we help others, that our personal struggles will be bearable. All of a sudden, it hit me: My purpose in going on a mission is to help other people learn about Jesus Christ, and to help them to find the happiness and peace that I have. Since that decision to serve a mission, I have come to know my purpose in life. I have come to know that God is truly our Heavenly Father, and He wants us and our families to be happy. To help us find happiness, He has given us Prophets to lead and guide us. He even sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to establish His church so we can know the right path back to Heavenly Father. He died for us, so that any mistakes we make we can be forgiven. I know that Jesus Christ's church is here today, known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Whenever I think about living my faith, I think of the scripture 1 Timothy 4:12. It talks about being an "example of the believers".The old saying goes: "Actions speak louder than words." It is one thing to just say what you believe, but it is more powerful when we choose to live what we believe. Whenever I am out and about, and I see someone that looks like they could use help, I always go over and see if they need help. It helps others around me, and it helps me to feel good, knowing that I was able to help someone. I strive to keep all of the commandments God has given to us, and try to avoid things that could potentially harm me or hurt others around me as well. I study the scriptures every day and pray to know how they can help me as I go throughout the day.
