Hi I'm Sidney

I'm a basketball player, volleyball player, college student, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to play Basketball and Volleyball. I'm in the middle of college but am taking a break to serve a mission. Once I get back from my mission I will go back and finish school. I'm one of those students who has no idea what they're going to go into. I've thought of everything from owning a business to finding a way to travel for the rest of my life. But I wouldn't mind finding a way to just sit and read all day...

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church which I think it's a little bit harder to gain your own testimony because you are leaning on your parents testimony. When you grow up you have to find out what you truly believe in what you do because you know it's right. When I went off to college I couldn't lean on my parents anymore. I had to find out what I knew was true and then gain a testimony of what I didn't know was true. Now that I am going on a mission I will probably gain even more of testimony than I already have. There are a few reasons I'm Mormon; one of them is because of hope. I couldn't imagine being on this earth for 85ish years and then ceasing to exist. I know that there is life after death and that we can live with our families for eternity. Another reason I'm a Mormon is because I've felt Heavenly Father confirm that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church, I also know that Heavenly Father loves me unconditionally... Which is a good thing because I make more bad choices then good. Heavenly Father is patient with me and helps me become better as I get through life, his love for me is sometime the only thing that gets me through the day. That is the reason I'm serving a mission. I want people to know that they have hope, that this life isn't the only thing for them, that they can live with their families for eternity, and that there is a father in heaven who loves us no matter what and who will help us through our trials and struggles as we learn to become better. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love it, I live it, and I share it. I have had too many experiences to not share my faith with others. I know the blessings this gospel can and will bring to everyone. I have felt Jesus Christ's love for me and I know that others can feel his love too. So I share the gospel with others and want them to learn more of how to find peace, hope, and love in their own lives and families. That is how I live my faith.
