Hi I'm Moana

TALOFA, I'm Moana, I'm afakasi (half Samoan), I'm a return missionary, I'm happily married and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Moana, I've lived in Las Vegas, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Idaho (where I served a full-time mission), and now I live in Utah where I'm attending BYU in Provo. I love music, dancing (although I'm not too good at it, haha), photography, and running (DEFINITELY not good at haha, aka, I'm slow). I'm happily married to my best friend/sweetest man in the world! I play the trumpet, the ukulele and the guitar. I have an amazing family that I love! And I'm learning new things and progressing each and every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I love what the gospel brings to my life. It has helped shape me into the person I am today. It has brought SO much happiness to my life and I wouldn't change that for anything. It's not just a religion--it's a style of life that is aligned with the Savior's life. Growing up, our family didn't really go to church and if we did, we weren't really there, we were just counting the seconds until we could leave. However, thanks to an amazing young women group and leaders, who persistently invited and friendshipped me, I now love going to church and learning about Jesus Christ. When I was 16 I started going to church by myself and eventually read the Book of Mormon for ME and prayed and asked God if it was true. And through the Holy Ghost, I came to know this church is true. For myself. And I know everyone can do that too, they just have to ask God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the commandments and staying true to what I know is right. My everyday choices are constructed after the amazing example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I was able to serve a full-time mission where I helped others learn about this amazing religion. And now I apply the things I learned on my mission by showing and teaching others this wonderful faith; that's how I live my faith.
