Hi I'm Shelly

I am a happy wife with a Masters Degree in Information Systems and a full-time job. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from BYU through the Marriott School of Management. I love to sew, sing, craft, and serve. I love staying active and am always up for a game of soccer. I love reading and writing. My husband and I are trying to start our family and can't wait to raise kids who will make this world a better place.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that living by the standards of this church is the only way to true happiness. I have experienced the fleeting happiness and inevitable misery that comes from making bad choices. I know that in the long run, doing what's right will always pay off. It may not even happen in this life, which is why I am so grateful for the the knowledge that I have a loving heavenly father who will make everything right in the life to come. I love my Savior and am so grateful for the sacrifices he made for me and my understanding of those sacrifices. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always keeping my standards, no matter who is or isn't watching. My husband and I get to teach the 5-year-olds at church and I love to teach them the gospel and feel their sweet spirits. I love opportunities to share the gospel even though it can be scary sometimes.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Shelly
The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets who lived in the Americas before, during, and after Christ came to the earth. The people who lived on this continent needed prophets to guide them just as the people who remained in the east. Just like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is full of testimonies and prophecies of the Savior. At the end of the book, Moroni, a prophet, tells of his journey to keep the Book of Mormon safe, and God promises that one day it will come forth to bless the lives of all nations. We see that this prophecy is becoming true in our day as the Book of Mormon is shared all around the world. Show more Show less
