Hi I'm Bailee

I'm a small-town Idaho farm girl. I graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing. I love to bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho. I learned a lot of things. For example, cows are stinky, and farm work is not always fun. But more importantly, I learned to work hard. This is something that really helped me get through the tough years of college. I recently graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelors in Nursing. While attending school, I met my husband. We were married in August 2012 at the Idaho Falls temple. I have a strong love for Africa. In the summer of 2012, I had the opportunity to complete some humanitarian aid in Tanzania. I mostly taught basic first aid skills to the local tribes and villages, but I had a wonderful time and quickly fell in love with the people. I have a passion for music and I love to play the piano, violin, and organ. I also know just I little bit of the cello and would love to learn more! My hobbies include cooking/baking, sewing, and cleaning (pretty much anything homemaking!). I also love to exercise, play sports, and be outside. I love the color orange, I love carrot cake, I love little kids, I love dogs, and I love my family. I adore my husband, I absolutely love being a wife, and I am so excited for the day when I will also claim the title of mother! I happy, out-going, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the doctrines and principles that are believed and taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I know this because I have learned for myself. I have read the Book of Mormon several times. The first time I finished it, I knelt in prayer to ask Heavenly Father if the words within its pages were true. I received a confirming witness in my heart through the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. I have repeated this process every time that I have read this book and have had similar experiences each time. I have read all of the standard works (Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price) and I feel within my heart that they testify of Christ and that their words are true. I stay current on modern day revelation by listening to our church General Conference every April and October, and also by reading the messages produced in church magazines such as the Ensign, Liahona, New Era, and Friend. I feel peace and joy in my heart each time I hear our prophets speak and every time I read their words. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, that he was led by God to restore this church to the Earth today. I know that the present leaders of our church were all called and ordained of God and that they hold the proper presiding authority from Him. I have been to the temple and made covenants to live an honest and righteous life; I know that by doing so, my family can and will remain together forever, and that is one of God's greatest gifts to us. I know that I am a child of God and I know that He is aware of me and my circumstances. I know that He hears and answers my prayers. I know that He wants me to be happy. I know that if I live by the doctrines and principles of the gospel that I will be happy and that I can someday return to live with and become like Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love getting together with the women in my community and ward to celebrate the joy of womanhood! Together we learn new skills, coordinate service projects and activities, teach one another of the blessings that come from righteous living, swap laughs and goodies, and most importantly, bear testimony of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm always met with open arms and welcoming smiles each time I meet with this charitable and loving group of women. I likewise have been able to spend a lot of time with the youth in our church. I meet with the young women every Sunday and teach lessons about the truthfulness of the gospel. We also have a weekday activity where we engage in wholesome recreational activities. There is so much that I have learned from the examples and lives of others as I have attended both church meetings and activities. I love serving other people. My husband and I enjoy inviting missionaries and friends of all faiths into our home for meals and other uplifting activities.
