Hi I'm Riley

I am adopted. I'll fix your car for you! I love to create. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was adopted at birth. I never knew I was adopted until I was 5 or 6 years old. I was always curious but I never let it bother me because l knew there was a reason why my biological mother gave me up. I met my biological family and realized I grew up in a spiritual environment my adopted family was better able to give me. My family has always been important to me because they're always there. Being the son of an active duty sailor was tough because every three years I had to say goodbye to all of the friends I made and start all over again in a new place. It was a blessing to be a member of the church because no matter where I moved, it was always there and there were always people who loved and welcomed me. I have always loved being in theater as a technician, especially as the sound technician because I find joy in helping others perform to their best ability. Helping people is fun for me. Especially when I can help people fix their cars. Not only do I absolutely enjoy it, but I like to teach people how to maintain their car's integrity. Just as we maintain and strengthen the integrity of our testimonies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I am not a member simply for that reason. I am a member of this church because I believe that the gospel it teaches is true. I know I am not perfect, not even close, but a lot of my friends ask me in amazement, how can you follow those standards??? I tell them it didn't happen over night. One step at a time, they don't have to be big steps, they can be baby steps if that is what works for you. It is simple, you slowly make each standard a habit, one by one you improve each one and before you realize it, your life starts to improve. Small and simple things, one step at a time, will make huge improvements in your life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being a teenager, let alone an adult, in today's society is not easy because we face temptations far more diverse and damaging than our parents ever had to deal with. Despite these temptations and low social standards which exist in our world, I do the best I can to be an example to those around me by living the standards the church has set forth for us to follow.
