Hi I'm Talon Richey

I was born in Kansas, live in Utah, and now serving a mission in Canada.

About Me

I love farm work, long and hard! there is nothing better than a late night coming home tired and muddy, collapsing in bed with that feeling of accomplishment. I want to do anything as long as its out doors, dirt biking, horse back riding, wake boarding, snow Boarding!!! Right now I'm in Canada serving a mission. I cherish the message that has brought so much joy and blessings into my life, and Absolutely love shearing it with others. Probably what I love most is having the opportunity to see Gods love change people's lives. To see their thoughts beliefs and behaviors become more Christlike.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I felt like religion was silly, unimportant, and that it hardly mattered. Through some difficult experiences in my adolescent years I became humble and willing to look for help. I made the choice to read the Book of Mormon. At the end of the book there is a promise that those who read the book and pray to God in the name of Christ with faith, will to come to know if it is true. It talks about how we will learn of it's truth by the spirit of God that will touch our harts. With a desire to know If God was really there I decided to test it out the promise. I now know the 'Book Of Mormon' is the word of God By the way His Spirit talks to my hart and tells me that it is true. By the countless times I have cracked open its pages and felt God speaking to me. By the comfort it gives me. When I came to know the Book of Mormon is true, that tells me it came from God and that this is his true church once again established on the earth. The same Church that Jesus Christ set when he walked the earth, is back in these days that we live now with Prophets to lead and guide us. It makes me believe with every next beat of my hart, that God loves His children and has not abandon us. This Knowledge Has provided such great comfort In my life that I cant help but now shear it with everyone else. God is there, He loves us, and He takes Care of us.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm a missionary (representative of the Church) In Canada. Young adults from the ages of 18 to 25 have the opportunity to serve a mission. Today I live my Faith by telling everyone I meet, they have a Father In Heaven that loves them and has sent His Son to help them. As a Mormon I give proper respect to women Girls and children by keeping my moral thoughts in line with what God expects. I don't drink or smoke. I trust in Christ enough to do what he has commanded us to, and to rely on the promises He has made to us if we do. I go to God everyday to ask forgiveness from the small mistakes I make all the time. I have been Baptized so that I could fallow the Saviors example, and to make special promises to God. I've also had the Gift of the Holy Ghost bestowed upon me to help me through the Challenges that we all face in life. The most important way I try to live my Faith is by Exerting every effort to stay on the straight and narrow path by trying to fallow the delicate promptings/ feelings of the spirit. I live my faith by boldly sharing to everyone "I'M A MORMON"

What is being a Mormon like?

Talon Richey
Every morning it is like getting a bucket felled with never ending hope. Aside from going to Church Sunday there is a large sense of community. Everyone cares about each other and we are all friends during the week. If someone needs help in any way, we all pitch in. Whether It's moving someone, putting up a fence, painting a house, or providing meals. Just everything! It is the best dissension one could ever make. To fallow The Example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone how holds the priesthood authority of God. Show more Show less
