Hi I'm Briana

Singer, dancer, student, reader, lover of different accents, my family, and, last but not least, ice cream! And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love singing! And not just singing but feeling the music and making music. I especially love singing trios with my 2 sisters. I enjoy reading, dancing, playing the piano, and being outside. I love being with my family doing just about anything, from camping, to playing games, to seeing how many funny looks we get while on a late night run to the store. There's a lot of us and we definitely have some great times! We're really close. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Being the youngest everyone thinks your spoiled, but I like to think that I'm not. I mean I am the only one who had to endure teasing from all 6 siblings. I get some credit don't I? I recently earned my associates degree and I'm leaving on a mission to northern Georgia. I'll continue my school work afterward, working toward a Bachelors in Business Administration.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member since I was baptized at age 8. I don't know if I fully understood what it meant back then but through my teenage years I went through some struggles and now I can say that I do. I didn't understand the power and extent of Heavenly Father's love and Christ's Atonement until I had to rely on them to make it through the day. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for us. Not only did he feel the guilt and pain of all our sins, but our sorrows, afflictions, every negative emotion we have. I know that he is the one person who knows exactly how I feel and that is such a comfort to me. And he didn't have to do that for us. He has agency, the right to choose, and He chose to do that for us. I know that if we follow Christ's example we will never be led in the wrong direction. He will lead us back our Heavenly Father. I have faith in Him. I trust him with my life. I trust that if I do what he has asked that I will be led to happiness. I know what it feels like to feel alone, worthless, and unimportant. But I also know that as I have built my relationship with my Savior, learned more of him, from him, and strive to be more like him, I have been able overcome those destructive emotions. The closer I come to my Savior, the stronger my knowledge is that I have worth, I am important, and I have a purpose. I'm happy! I want everyone to be able to feel that. It is so empowering and uplifting to know that you are loved and have a specific purpose to fulfill while you're here!

How I live my faith

I have been singing since before I can remember. There is so much power in music. The Spirit of our Heavenly Father can touch lives through music where regular words wouldn't. I've seen it. I have been part of a choir this last year whose whole purpose is to help people come to Christ and feel of his love. The songs we sing are of a spiritual nature and we have sung in many places around our community. It has been such a great opportunity to share what I hold dear to my heart by doing something I love best. I have taught lessons to the women in my ward. Many times I have felt so inadequate because many have so much more knowledge and wisdom. I feel I should be learning from them, but it has helped me grow so much. It was my job to make sure we always had music to accompany our meetings. I try very hard to see people as Christ does and love them as He does. I've made it a goal in my life to make sure that those whom I associate with know that they are important, not only to me, but to our Heavenly Father. We all are so important to him!
