Hi I'm Christian

I love life. I love lacrosse, awesome weather and warm rain. Life is good and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love outdoor active activities. Lacrosse, backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, ping pong, pickleball, ultimate frisbee, basketball, Hawaii, beaches and sunsets. I love rocking out in the car with the windows rolled down and jamming out to music. I wish I was musically inclined and could play the piano and sing well. I am a senior in high school headed to college for summer semester and then go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will receive my call in the next week or two :) I am an uncle of 3 nephews and 1 niece with another nephew on the way! Life is good :)

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has truly grown my testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord and His servants and strive to reach the potential our Heavenly Father wants us to be. The Lord sets boundaries and commandments to keep us safe from transgression and harm; however, He has given us agency for ourselves to learn and grow and progress in mortality and eternity. We will choose wrong and sin--it is inevitable but that is why the Savior has atoned for our transgressions. We can become clean through the Atonement of our Savior. We can have joy in our lives as we live by this beautiful concept and draw near to our Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it coincides with His church. I am an active participant as i attend my church meetings on the Sabbath and attend mutual. I also live my faith throughout the week. I am an active member of Buddy Club which helps disabled children learn and grow socially and emotionally. I am active in the sporting community; yet, I do not play on Sundays or use foul language as I ask and explain to my teammates my standards. One cool experience I've enjoyed is instigating a new tradition in my high school--the school dances are inappropriate in music and dancing so me and my friends began our own dances inviting all who held high standards to join in on the wholesome and appropriate fun. Life is good :)

What is faith?

Christian
Faith is a marvelous concept. We know in Hebrews 11:1 the "definition" of faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." In the Spanish language, hoped for and expected for can be used synonymously. I have come to realize that as we have faith in Lord's commandments and follow them we can EXPECT blessings and results from the Lord. In the New Testament we hear the Savior countless times saying, "thy faith hath made thee whole." Wow. What a cool principle. Let us live our lives in through and by faith. Show more Show less
