Hi I'm Jonathan

I am an Idaho farm boy. I love snowboarding, serving and learning. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love snowboarding. There is nothing better than hitting the slopes on the weekends. I feel at peace with the world when I am in the back-country enjoying God's beautiful creations. I love to sing and dance. I have spent about 8 years ballroom dancing and I am always excited for a dance! I enjoy working on our family farm. I am a country boy, though most would not expect that. Surrounded by the fertile fields and magestic mountains of south-east Idaho is where I truly feel at home. I have, however, left my home for now! I first was studying at Brigham Young University in Provo. I loved the environment there and the many opportunities that I had to grow. I am now taking 2 years off though and fulfilling my dream of being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have always wanted the opportunity to share what has made me so happy, and right now is my chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the fullness of truth. I feel the Holy Ghost bear testimony of this as I live by God's commandments and follow His instructions. As I pray I am able to ask and receive personal witnesses and revelation that help me become who I want to be and who God wants me to be. I also am a Mormon because of the pure truths that this church gives about the eternal nature of the family. Family is so important. I feel that and I know that, and the importance is shown again to me in this Church. The incredible blessings given through temple covenants and sealings are one of the greatest blessings on this Earth. I also believe in this church because of the it provides an opportunity for me to be able to return to God and learn of the sacred Fatherly nature of our relationship with God. I love this gospel, that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the good news in the world! I live my faith by being happy each day knowing that as I live the teachings of my Savior I have the promise of eternal life. Right now, my full time work is to help others come unto Christ, and there is no more rewarding work in the world. I have realized though that I cannot help others develop their faith in our Savior if I do not have a strong faith myself. I work to strengthen my faith each day by studying the scriptures, praying, and seeking to live more like Jesus Christ would.
