Hi I'm Breanna Rees

I'm a missionary, hair-bow fanatic, and laughing champion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all of my life and I wouldn't trade the relationship I have with Christ for anything. I've been able to travel to many wonderful places in the world with my family -- Venice, Italy being my favorite place so far! I collect film cameras and hope to pursue a career doing the things I love, like art history, cultural anthropology, and photography. I have several goals for my future -- including finishing my mission, singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and graduating from college -- but my main focus is to one day have a family of my own to raise in the gospel. I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been part of this church since I was a baby, and a member since I was eight and baptized. I was thirteen when I first read the Book of Mormon (with my ward) and it was the foundation of my testimony. This past May of 2013 I read the book again all the way through, but this time on my own. All the while I was searching, pondering, and praying about what I was reading. By the end of it I was as sure as ever that the Book of Mormon was the actual word of God and that our church was just as true. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and cares for us. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon correctly and that he devoted his life so we could have it. I know that Christ suffered and sacrificed Himself for us so that we can repent. I know that President Monson is a true prophet of this church and that he acts with authority from God. I know that this gospel is the key to happiness. I know that temples are what bind families together not just for this life, but for life after death as well. I know that everything I have is because of God's love for me and my faith in Him.

How I live my faith

I would be a very different person without this Gospel. Because of it I was adopted into such a wonderful family who love me with all of their hearts. I've met my very best friends through church, seminary, and church activities. I've learned how to be respectful, diligent, obedient, courageous, humble, and caring because I have been surrounded by others with those same qualities. My most recent calling was to serve a full time mission in Spokane Washington. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of growth, progression and joy. As I live the principles taught by Christ I find myself stretching to heights I didn't know I could achieve! I try to live in a way that is pleasing to my Savior and Heavenly Father.
