Hi I'm Blake Ballard Jackson

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. I am serving a two year mission in the Charleston, West Virginia mission. S/O to Bryan Cluff

About Me

I went to BYU and studied to major in Exercise Science. I am studying to hopefully attend medical school and be an orthopeadic surgeon. I love all sports and I played football, ran cross country, swam, and played waterpolo. I am always up for watching a good game, particularly college football and the NBA, and we all know that the Jazz are going to take it this year! Video games are pretty fun, gotta love Blue version on my GameBoy all the way up to Skyrim. I enjoy pretty much all music, Frank Sinatra to Imagine Dragons, and of coarse we can't forget some Reggae, 90's boy bands, Jurassic 5, Rattatat, and Disco. I enjoy playing the uke even though I am not super great. I am currently serving in the West Virginia Charleston Mission which covers most of West Virginia, a good bit of Virginia and parts of Ohio and Kentucky. It is pretty wild but always a good time! I love being out here to serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I spent my time to really learn the teachings and pray about them. While I did grow up in the church, I am here because of my own choice and commitment to God and keeping his commandments. I know that God knows me individually. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and have come to know that it is true. Also I am a Mormon because I know that God loves me and wants me to return to him. I know that by living the gospel and doctrines of Christ, coupled with, reading of scripture and attending church to partake of the sacrement, I can truly live with God again and live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

In my ward at college I served as a ward prayer leader as well as being called as a home teacher to several of my peers. I am now a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I spend everyday seeking to spread this great message of hope and happiness so that others can feel the same love and joy that comes from coming closer to God by faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of The Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I not only spread this message but I live it as well; I find myself in need of stronger faith and trust in Christ on a DAILY basis. It is okay to struggle, just power through and God will take care.
