Hi I'm Becca

I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. Serving in the Ohio Cleveland Mission from June 2013-December 2014. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student working on my accounting degree. I love basketball and all sports in general. I also love the outdoors and being active. I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy listening to music, eating out, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong Mormon family and grew up living its teachings. Since then, I have chosen for myself to continue to be active in the church and live my life in harmony with the teachings and standards of the church. I believe that there comes a time when all people need to individually decide for themselves what they want to believe and do. This is an important step in truly converting and dedicating yourself to your religion. I chose to continue being a Mormon because I have experienced great joy and blessings in doing so. I feel blessed to be able to know the truth and know what our Heavenly Father has in-store for us collectively and individually. The knowledge and insight the gospel brings into my life has brought me great comfort and peace in times of hardship and struggle. I have not, however, always been completely dedicated to the church and its standards. There is a discernible difference when I am living the teachings and when I am not. This difference, along with the confirmation of the Holy Ghost, is how I know that the church, gospel teachings, and standards of righteous living are true. When I am living the teachings, I feel the joy and blessings that come with it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in Sunday meetings, my church calling, and personal study which includes prayer and studying of the scriptures. My current church calling is to teach the 4 year-olds in Primary. I absolutely love teaching the young children in the church. Their faith is so strong and a great example to all. I also live my faith by keeping the commandments and living the standards of the church which include choosing not to drink alcohol or smoke, dressing modestly, refraining from inappropriate entertainment, living the "law of chastity" and several others. By keeping these commandments and high standards, I am truly blessed and happy.
