Hi I'm Jason

I am from northern California. I attend BYU. I'm headed to Brazil to be a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle of five children, with an older brother and sister and two younger sisters. I enjoy playing sports. I have played almost every sport competitively and I played soccer and ran track in high school. On Tuesday nights, you can find me and many of the local young men playing an intense game of dodgeball in the gym at our church. I love to read and I had my flashlight taken away many times as a child for staying up late reading. My favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo. I attend Brigham Young University where I study political science and philosophy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born to parents that are Mormon. I'm not sure if, were I not a member, I would listen to what the missionaries have to say. That being said, I am grateful that I was raised by righteous parents who taught me how to think for myself. I am still a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that this gospel is true, and that the Book of Mormon is true. In addition to that, I have seen the blessings that have come to my family and I because of our membership to this church. I know that we are sealed together for time and all eternity, and that I will be with them after this life. Ultimately, this is a gospel of happiness that worships Jesus Christ and God the Father, who both love us and want nothing more than for us to be happy.

How I live my faith

Every week after church, I and another young man visit the homebound members of our congregation. As a ward missionary, I go out with the elders that are assigned to serve in our area. My father and I also visit a set of families on a monthly basis. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church in Sao Paulo Brazil.
