Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Husband, a father of 5 children, a proud Yorkshireman, a former expat in Spain, a Leeds United fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a loving husband to an amazing woman and father blessed to have 5 wonderful kids from 10yrs to 18 months old. I'm a university graduate in business marketing working in the online world of websites, apps, social media and technology. I speak Spanish after spending 4 years in Spain most of which I was called as President of a branch of the Church which was an incredible and uplifting experience working with people from many countries around the world. I love football and am secretary & director to a supporters Trust organisation which enables me to work with supporters and groups throughout locally, in the Yorkshire region, nationally and Europe on issues within the game and affecting its future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for the teachings of the Gospel and how it enriches the lives of my family and I. My testimony has been developed through a combination of study, gaining knowledge and experience in Church by attending each Sunday and fulfilling my responsibilities to the best of my ability. The Lord knows me and my limits, as with all of us, and is mindful enough of me personally to give me the challenges I need to continue my growth in the Church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is very, very simple and for all to understand, appreciate and live, it is down to us all to put aside that which is of no real worth and embrace His teachings. My life has been blessed enormously from living the simple teachings which the missionaries teach and I know that what they share is the word of God and will bring us closer to Him. I am grateful for my Mother who taught me well in my formative years to enable me to pass these things on to my children so that they too may share in the joy I have felt in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church all my life and, like anyone, have had to find my own way in life and develop my own knowledge and testimony for myself. Through reading the Book of Mormon I have become closer to my Saviour and am grateful for the feelings I have which constantly witness to me of the truth of the words I read. Having served as a missionary for the Church for 2 years in London and the south of England over 20 years ago my faith has increased enormously through prayer and serving my fellow members in the areas I have lived. I hold those friendships I have developed close to my heart and place great value on them in my life. For me, developing a friendship is by serving someone in even the smallest way. It is what our Saviour would do if he were here, so that is good enough for me. I love teaching the gospel and am blessed to be working with the missionaries in the area I live, which I enjoy immensely.
