Hi I'm Mark

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I am a recent convert to our Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Marine. I have been in for twenty years. I am currently transitioning out of the Marines and getting ready to retire. I also help train dogs. I love to work with dogs. I am also helping the Boy Scouts get certified in certain subjects so they can earn their Merit Badges.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a transgression in 2009. I went to counseling and tried to improve myself but always felt like something was missing from my life. In December of 2011 I got on my knees and prayed to God for help. January 2, 2012 I ran into two Sister Missionaries in my neighborhood. They taught me that God loves us all and wants all his children back home to live with Him. They helped me develop my spiritual self to make me a complete person. I love my Ward family because of the way they make me feel. They make me feel welcome and wanted and loved and cared for. I haven't experienced that in a long time in my life. I love the way I feel when I go to Church. I get a warm, comforting feeling. I also get this feeling when I read my Book of Mormon. It helped me get through a very hard deployment in Afghanistan. When I go to Church, I just know our Church is true. I can feel it in my heart and soul. I love serving God and I appreciate all the ways He blesses me in my life. I want you to receive those blessings too!

How I live my faith

I am a home teacher and also received a calling to be a Ward Missionary. I volunteered to be a Merit Badge Counselor in four different subjects. I volunteer as much as I can within my community and within my Church because I love God.
