Hi I'm Chantelle

I'm a daughter, a missionary, a singer at heart and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young adult studying bio-medical sciences at university. My family owns a small business where we can all work and spend time together outside the busy schedules of our lives. Music is such a fundamental part of my life as well as trying to learn more about this world I am blessed to live in. I played flute and piccolo in my schools wind orchestra and the time spent with those people is one I will always cherish. I'm so interested in learning how the human body works what makes it tick and one day aspire to become a doctor, but for now I have decided to take a leave on absence from my university studies to serve a mission for this church. I am so grateful for the life I have and wish to serve the lord to express my appreciation in the small way that I can. This gospel is true, I want to help people in their physical health by becoming a doctor and in their spiritual health by introducing them to the restored gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church, my parents taught me at a young age the differences between right and wrong and why we have to choose the right, when I was a child I didn't really understand a lot but I came to feel that going to church on a Sunday was no longer a chore. I felt happiest on a Sunday but didn't really know why. I came to the conclusion that this feeling of peace I felt was the comfort and reassurance of the spirit. I knew first that there really was a God and he loved me in the confirmation I felt when I knelt in prayer. Next I was receiving a blessing from one of the brethren of my church and as he spoke I knew that the words he said were inspired of the lord, and I knew that Heavenly Father does speak to us in this day and age and that the priesthood, really is the power of Heavenly Father on this Earth. One day when I was reading the Book of Mormon the words that flew off the were so relevant to me and I knew that this book really was for our benefit to come closer to Jesus Christ. I have a firm knowledge that the Book of Mormon is the word of God that the priesthood is the power of God on Earth and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the the only true church of Christ and that it was restored through the Lord's prophet Joseph Smith. I am forever grateful to my Savior I cannot comprehend what he did for me or even why he did it but I have felt his love and mercy and know that he is the only way. I love Him and my Heavenly Father, and I know they so love me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, but living each day with an eternal perspective, striving to see myself, others and each situation the way that God sees it. This mission is how I am living my faith, serving in the Philippines trying to help people live us to their privileges, they are great and many. As we learn of them and attain them everyday, our lives become full.
