Hi I'm Dallin

I live and grew up in Vegas. I enjoy playing basketball and watching professional sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student attending BYU-Idaho. I served a full time mission in Sierra Leone Freetown, West Africa and Columbus, Ohio from 2013-2015. In 2014, Ebola became a problem to Sierra Leone and was a cause to our mission being evacuated. I was re-assigned to the Ohio Columbus Mission. I now stay busy in school. I love playing sports and being around friends!

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since at a young child, I was raised in the LDS church. I was taught at a young age the gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to live it daily. I have always known that there is a God and that he knows me perfectly. My testimony of the gospel centers on the Book of Mormon. As I read it, I learn and understand God's plan for me more fully. The Book of Mormon gives me the inspiration and direction I need on a daily basis. Like the Bible, it points me to Christ. I gained a testimony of it by reading it, pondering its teachings, and asking God if it is indeed true. The answer came through the Holy Ghost. The feelings and promptings given to me, were the answer. Through the Book of Mormon, I can understand better of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. As it states in "The Continous Atonement", Christ fills all the gaps and helps us along the whole journey. Not just at certain times. That strength and power is available to us at any time and all the time.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and strive to keep God's commandments. I keep my self clean and stay away from the ideas and life styles of the world. I try to live by standing out and being proud to do so. I'm the Priest Quorum's First Assistant and have served in previous callings in both the Deacons and Teachers Quorum. I enjoy going to church and try to spend time helping give lessons with the missionaries and always seek to serve and help others.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. The LDS church doesn't worship Joseph Smith. We worship God and Jesus Christ. However, we recognize that through Joseph Smith, the church was restored, and we respect and love him for that. He is the first prophet of our church today and see him as the tool through God's hands that brought the church back to the earth again. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. Members of the LDS church are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ and that he is the son of God and was the one who took upon the sins of everyone of the world. We love and seek to be like him. He is the foundation of our church and believed as the Savior and Redeemer of the World. Show more Show less
