Hi I'm Brendon

I'm a sprinter, I love football, I was a spud head by birth, I'm a son of 6 earthly parents and a brother to 10, and I'm a mormon

About Me

I have attended one year of college and ran track for the university while I was there. I started track to get better at football but am now better at track than I am at football. I hope to change that. I love sports and have been playing them for as long as I can remember. I will play any sport and I have not found a sport that I do not like yet. I have six parents on this earth. I have a mom and a day, a step-mom and a step-dad, and I have an honorary mom and dad. I have two brothers and two sisters by birth, I have a step-brother and a step-sister, and I have tree honorary sisters and one honorary brother. I love family and know that my family is the most important in my life but also recognize and believe with all my soul that we are all one big family so I like to make people who technically aren't my family part of my family. I am serving a mission in California and love it here. I consider all the missionaries that I have worked with and all the people I have been able to teach and help come to Christ my dearest friends. I was born in Pocatello, Idaho but moved to Star Valley, Wyoming when I was about 11. I have no idea what I want to do for a career but I know that my three biggest passions in life in order are God and family (I consider them inseparable), sports, and math.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon and I am proud of it. People may say that that makes me a Mormon because I was taught or brain washed to be by my parents, but those who say this have judged unrighteously and need to repent. There was a time when I did not go to this church. For a time I went to a Presbyterian church and there was a time I went to no church. I know what God has shown me through all of that though. When I have not walked the path Christ has taught through this church I have suffered and when I have walked it I have felt joy. Simple as that. I know what God revealed to me and that was that the Book of Mormon was true. When I read and prayed about it, on my own when I was at college where the was not one other member of this church there, I knew that God answered my prayer with an extremely strong "YES! this is true and what you read really happened". Christ said that "a good tree cannot bring forth corrupt fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit". Even with that strong spiritual experience of receiving my answer to know that the Book of Mormon is just as true as the Bible, the greatest evidence to me that this is true and the biggest reason I am Mormon is because as the more I live it the more joy I have and the less I live it the less joy I have. That is all the fruit I need.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living by faith. It is as simple as that. We are saved by grace through our faith and faith is an action word. The action that we take to show our faith is obedience. Christ said that if we love Him we will do two things. First, we will obey His commandments. Second, we will feed His sheep. I live my faith by doing all that I can to do as Christ has asked of me so I can reach the potential that I have as a son of God and do the work that He has sent me here to do, but most importantly, I live my faith by sharing my faith with others. True love is when one who has found the way to eternal life turns then to all those around him or her, his or her brothers and sisters, and shares it with them so that they may choose for themselves if they will follow the path to eternal life as well. I also live my faith by seeking to serve everyone that I possibly can, always seeking to be the like the good Samaritan.
