Hi I'm Jared Jacobs

I grew up in rural Missouri on a farm. I am serving a mission in Farmington New Mexico and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Jared and I am a mormon. I have been for my entire life just like the rest of my family has. I am number six of eight kids, having five brothers and two sisters. Some of my hobbies include reading, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. I love to try new things and traveling occasionally is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University- Idaho, but I have not yet decided on what my major should be or what career I will be going into. I was called to serve a mission in the Farmington New mexico misson and reported to the Missionary Training Center on May 22nd.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of this wonderful church because I felt that it was the right thing to do. I was raised in the church of course, but that does not mean that I didn't have to develop my own faith and testimony and try my best to keep the commandments of God. I continue to follow his gospel because it makes me happy. It comforts me and gives me an amazing feeling in my heart that this is what is best for me. I'm very thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that it is the Lords church and that Jesus Christ did die for our sins. I also know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father loves us a great deal. The Book of Mormon is true, this church is true, and that the prophet Joseph Smith did restore it upon the Earth. I'm thankful for my wonderful family that love and support me everyday and for my friends as well. I look forward to my service as a missionary and I can't wait to go out and spread the word of the gospel to other people upon the Earth. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments of our loving heavenly Father. I also do my best to attend all of my church meetings and help others in any way that I can. Participating in service projects is one of my favorite things to do and the feeling I get whenever a project is completed is unmatched. I love to study the scriptures and read about the many stories of faithful servants of God that they have to offer. Praying is a way that I can receive direction and I enjoy the feeling I get when I do. Being a good person is also very important to me and I hope that I can spread joy to other people.
