Hi I'm Nina

I’M FROM ANGOLA, BROUGHT UP IN ZAMBIA. I’VE BEEN LIVING IN LONDON FOR 21 YEARS. AND I'M A MORMON.

About Me

I’m a mother. I’m a wife. I’ve been married for 11 years. I love cooking for people who like to eat. When I feed people I am happy. I love shopping, but now I’ve changed shopping with the word of God. I like watching movies and taking my two young, hyper sons to the park. I want to be a designer in clothes and interior designing. I was baptized in the fall of 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe my Heavenly Father directed me to become a Mormon as He revealed the spirit of love, peace, happiness, joy, and faith. The Lord prepared me by showing me the way of the truth. When the missionaries taught me, the things they taught were familiar even though I had never heard these things preached before. As I learned about the Word of Wisdom, it was something I had already felt I needed to change. For me, the relationship I have with the Lord is special to me. It helps me to relate with my two sons. And the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father is real and no one can take it away from me. So I want to share this love with others. What I have learned in this church since I got baptized is true. Before I was so heavy. My shoulders felt heavy and tired. My legs felt tied. My eyes were dark. After learning about the gospel and the Book of Mormon, now I can see more clearly than before. The weight has been lifted off my shoulders and legs. I can see brighter and when I interact with others I feel more joy and happiness. I love this gospel more than anything else. I feel like someone who has never eaten Belgium chocolate before and is now experiencing it for the first time. But it’s even better than Belgium chocolate! I invite you to come and try it!

How I live my faith

I pray. I have made my house a sacred place where I interact with my Heavenly Father and teach my children about Jesus Christ. My husband is not a member, but each week my sons go to church with me. I invite people to come to church and I love to share my testimony with everyone about what I have learned and what my Heavenly Father has taught me through Jesus Christ. I know these things are true and no one can take them away from me.
