Hi I'm Ethan Watson

Hello! I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and love music!

About Me

Hey! I am a Missionary for the church serving in the St. Louis Missouri Mission! I Love what I do as a servant of the lord! I am from Colorado Springs, Colorado (oh yeah! ) and have lived there for 18 years and counting. I have 1 brother who served a mission just like me and 3 younger sisters. Two awesome parents who have such strong testimonies in the church. I love music! I want to be a college band teacher when all is said and done. But, past that, I am all about the marching music! I did marching band in high school, playing tuba, then later I did a season with the Blue Knight drum and bugle corps in 2011,tuba. I loved that experience. I want to help student excel in their music and help them to bigger and better places in life. I love teaching. I love speaking to youth and helping them out as much as I can. But for now I am serving the Lord and love it! My mission has the greatest experience so far and enjoying it so much. Teaching the gospel has been a huge blessing for me and those I am around. I enjoy being with friends, watching movies, anything in the out doors, running, and having a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have found my own testimony even tho I was born into the church. I have two loving parents who raised me to be the person I am today. I always believed the church to be a true but I did not know like everyone says they do. As a teenager I acted like one. Parents gave me some advise but I thought I was too cool to follow, so I wanted to do what I wanted. But over some understanding and time, I realized what I wanted was not what the Lord and tried to let me know what I NEEDED to do. I corrected myself and started to per-pair for a mission. I left home knowing that this is the Lords will and what I needed to do. One day at the MTC I was challenged to pray to know if the Book of Mormon was true. At that monument I had to face it, I did not "know" . So I prayed and short but powerful prayer. At that time I knew 3 things; 1, the Lord love us so much he wants and will answer our prayers,2 the Holy Ghost came into my heart and testified to me that the book was in fact true, this is the true church and 3, I was now doing His will. His will, will be your will as you live the 4 thing of a strong testimony, church, pray, read, follow. Not only that but I am so much more happier! The happiness I thought I felt before my mission does not equal the happiness I feel now as I follow the commandments and live a faithfully as I can. I know this is the true church and I know the Book of Mormon is a true holy book from God.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? Well before my mission I help the 11 year old scouts and sub for there Sunday school class. I help some kids in the ward to learn to play instruments. I try to be an example to the youth as a missionary for the church. Being a missionary for the church is I think one of the best ways to live my faith. I teach about the love the Lord has for all his children and live the best I can doing good. I read the scriptures and pray every day. Go to church and keep the commandments, are the best ways to live what I know to be true. By these 4 small things we can have the base for our testimony, also, that is how we can stay strong in the church. This is the only thing that has brought me true happiness in my life and ever-lasting happiness. I try my best to be kind to all I meet and to my family. I visit and teach all I can about the message I hold dear to me. I do my best to follow these things myself and truly live what I know to be true.
