Hi I'm Raine

I'm a Chinese who grew up in the Philippines

About Me

I worked as a staff nurse in a tertiary hospital for 2 years before I've decided to go on a mission. I love to draw and watch anime. I know a little about baking but I don't know how to cook. Uhm..I also love to sing, but not publicly :D

Why I am a Mormon

I was 3 yrs old when my mom was baptized as a member of the church. Because i was just a little kid then, i just tagged along with her and didn't really fully understand what being a "mormon" or a latter-day saint means. As i grew up and listened to the many testimonies of other people, i was amazed on their conviction that the church is true, that joseph smith is a true prophet of God, and on how they talk about the Book of Mormon. One day, my friends at church invited me to come with them to work with the missionaries, and because I have nothing else to do, I joined them. That one time was followed with many others and I soon realized that my testimony was increasing. It was not a spectacular or magical event but knowing and feeling it in my heart, it was enough for me to know that the church really is true and that the Lord really guides His church today through living prophets. I'm very thankful to be a latter-day saint, I cannot imagine my life without the gospel in it, it has not only blessed me, but my family as well, that's why I want others to feel that same feeling, that same joy I felt because of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I'm one of the youth leaders in our local ward. I also teach a youth class every Sunday and a class of women every 4th Sunday of the month. I am the Record Specialist of our Employment Resource Services, an organization in our church which aims to help members to be employed, or to be self employed.
