Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Texan. I love film. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write and I love to make movies. I'm majoring in business in college and was so fortunate to study abroad in Jerusalem for a summer! I love playing the guitar, violin, and piano. My family loves to travel and we spent every summer taking long road trips around the country. It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the earth is. By traveling and exploring, I get to experience so many new things and meet amazing people. Listening to their stories inspires me because creating stories is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. I enjoy reading British literature, running around in the rain, and am a huge fan of soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because quite simply, I know that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is true. The message that members of the Church share is unique but it isn't that strange. Through a prophet, Heavenly Father once again reached out to His children in love to reveal to us His plan for our happiness and salvation. It makes sense logically. God would work in the same way He's always worked because He's constant and unchanging. But in order for anyone to really know that this is true, you need more than just an intellectual knowledge of it. That is where study, prayer and personal revelation from the Lord come in. Anyone who sincerely reads the Book of Mormon, ponders the message it contains, and prays with real intent will come to know that it is truly scripture translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that because I've done that same thing. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true. Truth is truth regardless of whether anyone believes it or not. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father provides a way for all of His children to know truth. He's provided us with prayer to communicate directly with Him. We can receive answers from Him through the Spirit and through words of the prophets. Any honest, earnest seeker of truth will come to know by the power of the Holy Ghost that this message is true. It will not only make sense but it will feel right. And I love that feeling! I know that living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness. There will always be hard times and emotional breaks but Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always there to comfort us and guide us. I know that Joseph Smith was called by God as a prophet to restore precious truths that had been lost.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things is to serve others. I am an introvert which has helped me build up good observation and listening skills. I've learned how to anticipate what someone might need help with and then I try and be the one to make their life easier without them asking. I help teach children about Jesus Christ. I love seeing their faces light up as they describe how they try to be kind or share stories about playing nicely with their siblings.
