Hi I'm Yonelani

I am from South Africa. I served in Kenya. I have found great happiness in family life.

About Me

I am a serviceman, I love serving those that around me. I am a computer technician by profession and when people bring their computers to me for repairs sometimes it's hard to charge them a price because I feel it would be better if I just served them and put a smile on their faces. I love my family so much and I am thankful for the role that my parents played in my life because I am the person that I am today because of them. I love my wife because she is my strength at the present moment. I work for the government and I am also studying towards a degree in Computer Science

Why I am a Mormon

Why are you not a Mormon? That sound arrogant and I apologize for that but with the way that my life has changed since I have received a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ it's hard to stay away from Church. I joined the church when I was 12 and before that I would attend prayer meetings with different churches and I used to enjoy talking about my Father in Heaven with my friends. I remember when I was 9 my peers were arguing about the existence of God, I remember telling them that I know that God exists, I told them that I don't know how I know but I know. I attended missionaries lessons before I was baptised and I learned about the plan of salvation and it helped me to gain an answer as to how I knew that God exists even though I have never seen Him; I lived with Him before I came here and my spirit would bring a familiar ring when I would talk about Him.

How I live my faith

I have calling as a second counsellor to my local bishop and that gives me an opportunity to serve a wide variety of people of the church within my community. Some of my responsibilities include training youth leaders on their duties and spending time with the youth. I have developed a great love them as I realise their challenges with life itself. Some of the events we organise include open houses for those who are not members of the church and that helps them become acquainted with what the church does.
