Hi I'm Caleb Paulson

I grew up in Utah, I love reading and eating, sometimes at the same time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school with the class of 2013, where I was a Senior Class Officer and held leadership positions in various other clubs. I am currently serving my LDS Mission in the Wellington New Zealand Mission. When I return home from my mission, I will start university and study chemistry. My long term goal is to probably be an anesthesiologist or a pharmacist, but for the next little while, or long while, I'll just be a student. I enjoy playing with fireworks, reading, and eating ice cream (While trying not to go to fat(Just kidding, I just eat it)). I think I've changed this info about me at least 4 times because I'm really indecisive. So when I hang out with friends, it's a really bad idea to ask me what we should do. I think I'm pretty funny and clever, and people tend to agree, although it can lead me to getting in trouble.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I have probably ridden on the coattails of my parents testimony for a lot of my life. But there came a time when I had to decide for myself if I knew this church to be true. I realized, looking back (because hind sight is always 20/20) that I had always known the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be true. I have had many experiences in my life that I don't believe I would have had if not for my faith. I know that my loving Heavenly Father has given me opportunities and put people in my life that would help my grow in my faith and testimony, as well as help me become the kind of person I have always wanted to be, even if I didn't realize it. Without the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, I don't know where I would be, and that scares me. But I know exactly where I am today. I am half way around the world from home, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone that will listen. It is not an easy job, but I know it is worth it. I want to be able to share the happiness the Church of Jesus Christ has given me with everyone. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father, and he has restored the true church on the earth today. He has given us a living, modern day prophet so that we can receive modern day revelation. I know the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God, and it is complementary to the Bible in every way. Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, and this is my testimony.

How I live my faith

To live my faith, I teach about my faith. I am currently serving a mission in the New Zealand Wellington mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's not an easy job, but somebody has got to do it. I will be away from home for two years, teaching those who will listen about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I got to give a lot of talks in the Sacrament meeting of our weekly church service in my first area, because the church was so newly established there. In the short time I have been in New Zealand, I think I have borne my testimony, or the declaration of my faith and beliefs, more than I have the entire rest of my life. When I go home from my mission, I will continue my service and activity in the church, and continue to invite those I meet to come unto Christ. Personal daily study of the scriptures, as well as making the Sabbath a delight have become priorities, rather than just happenstance.
