About Me

My name is Cristobal Sanhueza and I was born in Chile, however, I have also lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and Orem, Utah. I lived in Fresno, California serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because I have lived in Chile and the US I speak both Spanish and English. There is six people in my family and I am the second oldest of 4 brothers. I love spending time with my friends playing soccer, going to parties, eating pizza and playing fun games. I am currently studying Accounting at BYUI

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to live with my Heavenly Father in his kingdom of glory and happiness. My goal is to have eternal life. I know that the only way to reach my goal is through being a Mormon. In order to be Mormon you have to have faith in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, get baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end. To have faith in Jesus Christ means to believe in him and know why he is so important in our lives. To repent of your sins means to know what the Atonement is, to recognize that you sinned, to confess your sins to God, ask him for forgiveness and to have a broken heart and a contrite spirit which means to have a change of heart. To get baptized means to have the desire to follow Jesus Christ and to make a covenant with Heavenly Father. Without the Holy Ghost we cannot receive personal revelation and without personal revelation we cannot enter God's Kingdom. To endure to the end means to do your best to keep doing God's will throughout your life and never stop. It is called "endure to the end" but we know that there is no end, therefore, it means to endure forever. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because after I read it I asked God with a sincere heart to know if it was true or not. God answered my prayer and from that very moment I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. And because I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that the only way to live with my Heavenly Father is by being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My parents are converts to the church, therefore I was born in the church. Since I was little I have been going to church every Sunday and learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was 8 years old I decided to get baptized and to make a covenant to the Lord. I promised him that I would strive to obey all his commandments and in return I received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Since that very moment I have done my very best to keep the Lord's commandments. Commandments like: -Keeping the Sabbath day Holy -Living the Word of Wisdom -Living the Law of Chastity -Paying tithing -Exercising faith in Jesus Christ -Repenting of my sins -Renewing my covenants -Following the promptings of the Spirit -Going to the Temple -Loving others -Doing service for others -Developing Christlike Attributes -Keeping the 10 commandments -Reading the Scriptures -Praying Daily -Magnifying my calling as a priesthood holder -Preaching the Gospel As years passed by I grew older and started going to mutual and seminary where I met other members of my age and later they became my best friends. Now I am 20 years old enjoying life!
