Hi I'm Danielle

I'm a world traveler. I love to sing ALL the time! I'm a returned missionary! and I'm a "know it, live it, and love it" Mormon!

About Me

I'm spunky, funny, compassionate, and cute or so I'm told. I like pictures a lot! But I'm awful when it actually comes to taking them and "capturing the moment". I love the snow at Christmas time. I enjoy going snowboarding and wakeboarding with my family. If I'm not with my family then I am with my friends wishing we could start our own band and doing spur of the moment stuff. I love to laugh. I have recently returned home from a mission in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I can't imagine my life without those precious experiences in the mission field to build my testimony and help me to be confident in who I am. I love the new friends I have obtained through these experiences. California will forever hold part of my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

The greatest thing the Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me is hope. I know for myself that through the Atonement I can be healed from the sorrows and heartaches of this life. I make mistakes and I can repent and have peace for those things that I have asked for forgiveness for. I know that I am never alone in my struggles. I have had to push through some incredibly hard things. I have had to rely holy and completely on my Savior and with his Gospel I have the key to unlocking eternal happiness and peace. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is found in it's fullness in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have had a change of heart and mind as I dedicated 18 months of my life to his service. I ask questions and have a sincere desire to know the truth of all things. Through diligent prayer I know I can receive an answer. We are all Heavenly Father's children and He wants us to return to live with Him again. Trust in Him and He will never leave you alone. I know this with all my heart, I live it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I love to serve. I have been given so much and I want to be able to give back. One big way I've done that is by serving a full-time mission. I got to visit people that were struggling every day and sometimes it's wasn't only members but non members as well. We try to share teachings of Jesus Christ with others to lift up their spirits and to give them hope for the future. I have also served in a class presidency for my age group several times. I have taught a class at church and I have been asked to look out for other sisters that are struggling while I was at college. I want to be a shoulder for others to cry on and to somehow say just the right thing to motivate them to move forward or hang on. I want to build up others as the Savior did.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Yes we serve Mormons but we also serve those of other faiths. We believe strongly that everyone here on Earth is a child of our loving Heavenly Father. Through serving others we are showing our love for him because we are doing what he would do. Just like our Savior, Jesus Christ, served those he came in contact with our goal is to help everyone. I love doing service and regularly go to a Methodist church in my area to serve the homeless. It is such a privilege to be able to serve those in need. It brings me closer to my Savior and makes me feel happy. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Our purpose in this life can be discovered as we learn about our Father's Plan of Happiness. We have been given this Earth to come to and gain a body. We believe in a Heavenly Father that has a body of flesh and bone just like us. In our time before our life on this Earth we were told that this life would be difficult but that if we were faithful that we would return to be with him again. He told us that we have the potential to be just like him. If we are diligent and learn all we can in this life we will be blessed in the life to come. We are preparing now for eternity. This task can be daunting but the Lord knows each of us and has given us people and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to help us along our way. We need to remember the divine potential we have to rise above our trials and make our weaknesses become strengths. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. We also believe that he is the Son of God. We believe that he taught the Word of God while here on the Earth, and that he was a perfect example for the way we should live our lives. We also believe that he organized a church while here and that he went about doing good and building up those that would follow him. We emphasize becoming more like Jesus Christ but we don't expect perfection of ourselves or others. We are continually working to progress and endure through all the ups and downs of life. Through Him we can do all things. Jesus Christ is my Rock and my Salvation. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Young and old are invited to serve their Lord and Savior in many ways. One way that we can choose to serve is a mission. Christ told his apostles in the New Testament that if they would follow him he would teach them to be fishers of men. Along with many other tasks teaching and preaching the Gospel is a big part of bringing this joy and gladness to the rest of the world. It is a way of serving others in a very individual way. We do our best to focus on the one as Chirst did. Everything I have ever done has been my choice. I have had many to give me counsel and advice. I didn't feel required to serve a mission. I was never pressured by my parents or told I had to go. It is my choice. I love serving a mission! I have been able to learn about myself and strengthen my testimony in Jesus Christ. I have met many wonderful people. I have cultivated a deep love for each one. I have been set apart as a missionary and it is my privilege to serve. What greater blessing could I receive!? What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

We share a message about Jesus Christ and we have a strong desire to strengthen others testimonies of him. Teaching about Christ and His gospel is one of the greatest blessings in my life. It also has a profound effect on the lives of those we teach. Our message is true and we have the knowledge that one day we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. He has given us many tools to help us through this life. To name a few he has given us the Bible and The Book of Mormon, he has given us prayer as a way to communicate with him, he has given us families to love us and support in all that we do, he gives us church leaders to teach us, and the greatest tool we have available to us is the Atonement of Jesus Christ so that we can be forgiven and be healed. The missionaries can help others use these tools to build their lives on a sure foundation. We invite all to come unto Him. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We proselyte because we believe the things that we have been taught and we want to share it with others. This comes from a strong conviction of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our personal experiences to motivate us. We love the Lord and we love His children and we want to unite everyone in Christ, our Savior. We don't have something to prove to the world, we have something to share and we share it with love.
