Hi I'm Briana Elwell

I'm an Elementary Ed major at USU! I love to dance, embark on crazy adventures, and laugh a lot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Junior at Utah State University and a lifetime proud Aggie! I love doing anything outdoors, spending time with my amazing family and friends, and I will eat pretty much anything. I am all for adventures whether they are last minute midnight ice-cream runs or traveling to Fiji for a week. I lived in Belize for 3 months working in orphanages, teaching English, and overall helped to alleviate poverty. I love being able to help others either by giving them a smile, attempting to crack a joke, or just being a good friend! I seriously love to laugh and if you know me, you know I'm not a serious person. I love the ocean and I could spend DAYS on a beach! In my spare time I love to play guitar, sing, and have been dancing for 16 years. I love meeting people, making new friends, and I try to find joy in every journey in life!

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly? Because I know with all of my heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true church that is lead by Jesus Christ. It is a blessing because we have the fullness of truth and what a blessing that is! Why do I know this? Because I have felt it in my heart and I have felt that love that my Savior and Heavenly Father has for me. I have felt this through many experiences such as much prayer, miracles, and the fact that I am even here today. I know this because I have experienced life without the church. When my parents converted, they told me what life is like without the gospel in their lives and how hard it can be not knowing that there is a God that loves us and a Savior that died for us so that we can repent endlessly and return back to them someday. I know that I couldn't gain the strength and knowledge of the Plan of Salvation that I have now from the trials I have experienced, and I couldn't imagine myself being any happier than where I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by magnifying my assignments to teach, serve, and uplift other men and women in our church. I was able to serve as a Compassionate Service Leader this last year up in college and it was amazing to be able to truly getting to know them through serving them. Both their hearts and mine were touched through the gift of service. Every single day I get to stand as a living witness of our Savior, Jesus Christ, that he lives and loves all of us, every single person on this Earth. What a blessing that is! I live my faith by telling others about the great joy of our gospel and share the happiness with others that it has brought to my family and I 18 years ago when my parents made the choice to be baptized. As I have grown closer to my Savior through prayer, trials, and finding joy in the little things, I have come to love this gospel and I know without a doubt that this incredible gospel of Jesus Christ is completely true.
