Hi I'm Alex Christensen

I grew up in Escalante, Utah, I go to school at Utah State University in Logan, Utah and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Escalante, Utah, a small town of about 800. I love to play any sport, especially baseball and basketball. I enjoy anything that has to do with the outdoors such as fishing and hiking. I have recently completed my first year at Utah State University where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Emphasis. On May 29 I will leave on a two year mission for the church. I will be serving in the Uganda Kampala mission in Eastern Africa. I also enjoy reading and playing the piano and guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the Church and I grew up in it. For a little while, I was just going to church because that is what our family did on Sundays. I have since learned that this gospel is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I know it is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet on the Earth today. Like I said before the Gospel makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I think that my mission is the best thing that I can be doing with my life right now. The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me and my family so happy and I want to share this happiness with others. It can sometimes be difficult to live by our faith in this world, but I know that by reading the scriptures, praying, and attending my Sunday meetings I can be an example to others. Service is another huge part of it for me. There is something about helping others that I just love.
