Hi I'm Kaitlin

I grew up in California. I'm studying journalism and political science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently going to college and am looking forward to grad school. I enjoy going to the beach with friends, traveling abroad and laughing until I cry.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe my life is better when I have my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in it. My dad was baptized in high school and many years later met my mom who was not Mormon. They were married and had my brother and I and then several years later had my youngest brother. He was born with health difficulties and was not supposed to live through the flight to another hospital. As my parents were busy caring for him, people from the Mormon Church that my dad was an active part of, brought us meals and prayed for my little brother. After days in the NICU my brother was getting better and the doctors couldn't figure out how or why. 14 days later my parents were able to take him home and the only explanation the nurses and doctors had was that it was a miracle. A few months later my mom and I were baptized on the same day. 14 years later, I look back and know I wouldn't be the person I am without my religion. I can see little miracles that have happened to me, my friends and my family throughout our lives as well that prove further the truths and mercies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I enjoy participating in community service ranging from cleaning up parks to helping at elementary school fairs. On Sundays, I teach children and during the week I organize activities for young adults my age. I am also currently serving a full time mission for my church in Maryland for the next year and a half.
