Hi I'm Sadee

I'm a friend and a big sister. I am an artist. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I create beauty. I attempting to match the wonder around me on a canvas or paper. I am a writer, spinning stories and characters and scenarios. I am a friend who is loyal and loving and willing to lend a listening ear, because sometimes, that is all you need. I am a student. I take pride in learning and growing. I am attending college at Brigham Young University where I have met so many new people and learned from them and learned to love them despite our differences. I am the oldest of six kids. Yeah, you could say that our house is chaotic most of the time. My siblings and I are best friends. It is my constant charge to live my life in a way that would make my parents proud and would be a good example for my younger siblings. I love to climb trees and swim in the pools underneath waterfalls. I love to ride horses and play Ultimate Frisbee. I love life. Life is beautiful. And though I have had trials and hardships along the way, I'll keep on keeping on.

Why I am a Mormon

This is my happy place. Living as a member of this church has blessed my life in inexplicable ways. I love my Savior and for his willingness to suffer and bleed and die for me. I was born into this church, but had to decide for myself that I would be willing to live in accordance to the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since making that decision I have been blessed in so many ways. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I know that as such he had the power and the authority to overcome death after a sinless life. I know that he did such for us, even though the pain was excruciating and the cost great. I know that Heavenly Father loves me dearly and it is for that reason that he has a plan to provide a way for his children to return to him in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith truly translated the Book of Mormon, and I strive to read it and learn from the inspired words. I know that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, who holds the authority for inspiration and revelation concerning this church. My knowledge of the pre-mortal existence and life after death gives me a purpose and a determination to do my best here in this life. I know I can return to my Father in Heaven someday, and that fills me with joy. I love my family and my Savior.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I always feel so at home and welcome when attending gatherings and our weekly services. I have held many callings and positions to help serve my local congregation. My most recent calling was a leadership calling for all of the women of the ward. It was my duty to organize the teaching and the lessons taught by assigned teachers and assist the president with the many obligations that she had. Once in a while, I too had the chance to teach. Being in this position gave me the opportunity to look for those that needed relief and provide necessary assistance, helping both the one in need and bettering myself through service. I attend weekend services and other activities during the week to strengthen my faith and testimony in my church. I try to attend the temple on a weekly basis. I have standards that I live and I take pride in them, because I know they will make me happier. I now have a call to serve as a full time missionary for this church, and I am excited to devote my life to the Lord and his Gospel for a year and a half in the Baltic States.
