Hi I'm Shelise

I just returned from an 18 month mission in Philippines where I saw this message that we have change lives. I know it is true!

About Me

I am currently a student in college, and I love it! I am the oldest in a family of six which means that, though it's never quiet at home, it's also never boring! I love reading (I am a total nerd!), writing, drawing, music of almost any kind, taking long walks in nature especially when it's raining (cliché, I know), and having fun (I love to laugh)! Someday, I really want to be a published author, though I wouldn't mind being a painter or a composer, either. Whatever I end up being, though, I want to make this world a better, more beautiful place.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and read the scriptures and studied it out for myself and lived it and I know that it is true. It has brought such incredible peace, happiness, assurance, joy, love, companionship, comfort, and so much more into my life! It has given me purpose and power, confidence and hope. It has truly given meaning to my life in a way that words alone cannot describe. I don't know who I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ, My Savior and Redeemer, and I am infinitely grateful to have it!

How I live my faith

I go to every church meeting, whether it is the activities on weekdays, the early morning planning meetings, or church on Sunday. I try to fulfill every calling and every duty I am given to the best of my ability. I also try to show my faith every minute of every day in how I treat others and in how I act. What better way to have faith in and follow Christ than to do as He did?
