Hi I'm Spencer Ward

I live in Rexburg Idaho. I love to play sports. I'm a huge sports fan. I love to make people laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Spencer. I am 18 years old. I am a huge sports fan, especially football and baseball. My favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees. I am a big BYU sports fan. I just graduated from high school, where I played baseball on varsity for 2 years. I also sang in the choir at my school and played in the orchestra. I plan on attending Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. I live with my parents and 3 siblings. My mom is Portuguese, but was born in the United States and has lived here almost all her life. She grew up in New York, while my dad grew up on a farm in Idaho. I have 2 brothers, and one sister. I love music. Whether I'm playing music or just listening, music is very important in my life. Overall, I love my life!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon for so many reasons. The biggest reason is because being Mormon makes me happy. As I live the way that the Church has taught me to live, I only increase in happiness. Because of the way I feel when I talk about Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father, I know that they are real, that they are living, and that they love me. Without them I don't know where I would be. They have helped me become who I am today. In a world where there is always so much sadness, it is often hard to feel good about the future. But with a Father in Heaven who cares for me, I know that my future holds great things. I can't even begin to express the way I feel about being a Mormon. Anyone who takes the time to honestly search out the truth of God, will realize that He loves them and wants the best for them. As I do the things I've been taught to do, I feel so good about this Church and everything associated with it. I know that this is Christ's Church on the earth. I want to follow Christ, and that is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. The biggest way I am choosing to live my faith is by going on a mission for the Church. I have been called to go teach and help the people in Ghana. My whole life I have wanted to go on a mission. It has always been something I have looked forward to and wanted to do. However, as the time gets closer and closer, I realize how hard a mission will be. I will be very far away from my friends and family, and I will have very few ways to contact them. It will be hard. However, I know that this is what my Heavenly Father wants me to do. I know how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have helped me throughout my life. I couldn't be more thankful. I want others in Ghana to feel the same way about God that I do. I want to let them know that He is always there for them, that He loves them. That no matter where they are in life, Heavenly Father loves them and wants them to succeed. That's why I am going on a mission, and that's why I live my faith. Because doing good things, especially like going on a mission, make me happy and help me to feel my Savior's love for me.
