Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a Jesus loving, people helping, hardworking individual and yes I'm a Mormon! :)

About Me

My name is Amanda and I served a full-time mission in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. I went to a year of college and had a blast. I'm studying Nursing in hopes of becoming a Neonatal Nurse, NP. I absolutely LOVE children and infants! My hobbies are singing, dancing, helping others, doing things outdoors, and playing soccer. I am the 3rd of 4 children. I am the first girl in my family to serve a mission on both sides so it is exciting that I get to serve my Father in Heaven in such a remarkable time and hopefully set an example for the younger generations! I love my family more than anything! I love to be around people and make them feel loved and important but most of all to make them laugh! Last but not least, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings not only in my life but in others around me by being Mormon. I have friends who are not of my faith and it pains me to see where their life is going because of the poor choices they make because they do not know any better. I want to go out and teach others of the blessings and promises that being LDS can give you. It has helped me throughout my life and through many challenging trials I have been through but I know without a shadow of a doubt that His way is the only way to return back to our loving Heavenly Father. Mainly I am a Mormon because the things that I have come to know are true and bring true and everlasting peace and joy into my life and in the world today, I'll take all the peace and joy I can get.

How I live my faith

I try to regularly attend church meetings and activities. I had/have several callings in my church that keep me active and participating. I help plan fun activities to get others involved in my church. I live my faith by practicing what I teach. Especially as a member of Christ's restored church, people are always looking at my actions. I do all I can to let people know that I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and do all I can to follow His perfect example. I do my best to give service to those in need but mostly to put a smile on someone's face and let them know of their worth to Heavenly Father!

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Amanda
God has called prophets to lead His Church in our day, just as He did anciently. The current prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He is assisted by two counselors—Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uctdorf. Together, they make up the First Presidency of the Church (much like Peter, James, and John after Christ’s death). All members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles and prophets. The current Apostles are: ◾Boyd K. Packer ◾L. Tom Perry ◾Russell M. Nelson ◾Dallin H. Oaks ◾M. Russell Ballard ◾Richard G. Scott ◾Robert D. Hales ◾Jeffrey R. Holland ◾David A. Bednar ◾Quentin L. Cook ◾D. Todd Christofferson ◾Neil L. Andersen Show more Show less
