Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in a family of eight kids. I play percussion, along with steel drums. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah Valley in a family of ten. I just finished my freshman year of college with my major being Electrical Engineering. I also participated in a Steel Band class, playing various steel drums. This leads to one of my hobbies which is playing music. I play percussion and piano. I also enjoy playing board games and reading. Some of my favorite books include Ender's Game, Mistborn, and Elantris. The board games I enjoy playing include Chess, Risk, and Catan games. Finally, I also love to go camping and exploring in Southern Utah, where there are many canyons and National Parks.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church), I still had to learn for myself if this is Christ's Church upon the earth. I love this Gospel enough to give up two years of my life to help bring it to others, a large commitment, especially for a college student. Throughout my teenage years I was not sure if this Church was the one true Church. However, over time, as I read The Book of Mormon, I came to recognize the Holy Ghost, and realized that this is Christ's Church upon the earth.

How I live my faith

At this current time I am preparing to leave on a two year mission where I teach others about our church. In college I helped out in my ward by being a 'home-teacher,' where I bring several members a short message once a month and help them out with anything they may need assistance with. As a missionary for the Church I will serve in Italy, which is much further from my home than I've ever been. As a missionary in Italy I will be able to serve the people of Italy and help bring them closer to Christ.
