Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm a missionary, actress, dancer and a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kelsey. I was born and raised in Texas, but my family and I recently moved to Utah. My family means everything to me--my brothers are my best friends. I'm a college student at BYU studying Business Marketing. Life is a gift and one of my mottoes is to "seize the day!" I love dancing, acting, the rain, and having fun. Music is my favorite; you can almost always find me singing a song or jamming to my favorite station on Pandora. I am also passionate about health and nutrition. Cooking and exercising are two of my hobbies. I've been a vegetarian for almost 7 years! Currently I'm serving a mission in Alabama and I couldn't be happier. Being a missionary is the greatest privilege I can imagine and there's no greater joy than the joy that comes from sharing the gospel. Being a missionary is a blessing because it all boils down to helping others through service and LOVE.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is God's true church on the earth today. I know that God lives and that His plan is designed to bring us happiness. I have felt His power and blessings in my life and He knows and loves me individually. Faith is never an easy thing to obtain, but it is worth it. Just like anyone else, I had to find out for myself what I know. Through prayer, scripture study and confirmation of the spirit, I know that this gospel is true. I know that this is the one and only church set up exactly the way Christ's was when He was on the Earth. The Book of Mormon and the Bible are gifts to us that testify of Jesus Christ and help us to understand His complete gospel. Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost and this gospel are the source of all happiness. I know that they will lead me to truth and joy, in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

This gospel is extremely important to me. I strive to live my life according to the principles of integrity and choice and accountability, because it's important to do the right thing regardless of the circumstances. I also try to be very mindful of the consequences of my choices and that helps guide my life in the right direction. The teachings of Jesus Christ are given to us so that we can apply them and learn from them. I strive to do this every day as I study my scriptures and try to become more like Him. I am not perfect and I mess up every single day, but the Atonement of Jesus Christ brings me peace and reassurance that I can always be better. By living my faith, I am happier. I receive blessings that come from obedience and I become closer to Him when my life is centered on Him.
