Hi I'm Heidi

I grew up in Utah. I love to sing and I love musical theater. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and grew up in Utah. I lived for a few years in Iowa when I was little. I'm the second oldest of 6 children. 5 girls and 1 boy. I just completed my first year at BYU in Provo, Utah. I love singing and have been in lots of musicals. I love musical theater! I am currently serving a mission in Paris France.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church and always done my best to follow the teachings. I may not have had one single moment of conversion but mine has come line upon line, precept upon precept. I have felt the truth of this gospel. There have been moments when I have felt discouraged and can feel my burdens on me, and in those moments I have felt the love of my Savior and the power of His Atonement in helping me overcome difficulties. Because of the joy that I feel at those times I have the strength to persevere. That is why I continue to follow the Savior's gospel. I have felt that joy that comes when I live it and I wouldn't ever want to be without that feeling of peace that I know I can have when I turn to my Savior. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it testifies of the Savior. I know as we read the Book of Mormon and pray to our Father in Heaven that He will show us that it is true. I have felt that confirmation and peace. I am grateful for the knowledge that families are forever. I love my family so much! It brings such peace to know that I can be with them forever. God loves us. Even though we experience pain and suffering, it's not because God doesn't love us, but because He is shaping us into the people that He knows we can become. He sees our true potential and knows what we can handle. I have learned to trust the Lord and understand that His way is not always my way, but if I follow His will I will be blessed. I'm also grateful to have a living prophet on the earth, President Thomas S. Monson, to lead and guide us through these difficult times. I know this church is true and I love it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I always loved going to youth activities and camping trips. At BYU I had the opportunity to talk with the girls in our ward and find out how they were doing as part of my church responsibility. It was a great way to find ways to help people. The Savior cares about each of us individually and I felt like I could have a small role in helping people feel of His love.
