Hi I'm David Asay Bennett

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Las Vegas Nevada but grew up in Logan Utah....GO AGGIES! I have a passion for sports: basketball, football, soccer, hockey, tennis, snowbording, etc. I grew up in a family of 5, (4 boys and 1 girl) me being the second youngest. I have AMAZING parents who brought me up in the church and have helped me become the person I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. It was, however, through the examples of friends, family, and prophets of old that I have become fully converted into the gospel. I know that it is essential for us to find and build our own testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to truly become converted. Line upon line, precept upon precept. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been the solid foundation for which I have been able to stand strong over the years. I simply love having the knowledge of why I am here and that I can live with my family forever in happiness. It gives me a sense of direction in my life. I cannot imagine a life of raising children without the support and understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no greater blessing of peace and happiness than to know of God’s plan for families. My family has been richly blessed by the knowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior that we have living prophets and apostles living on the earth today who lead and guide us. I know that through the Atonement of Christ I can be forgiven of my sins and return to live with my Father in Heaven. I know that by making and keeping covenants we can bring happiness and peace into our lives. I have learned these things for myself through the gift of the Spirit as I read, study and ponder the doctrines of Christ found in The Bible and The Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel of Jesus Christ through service and my example to others. I always try to keep the light of Christ in my countenance as I meet and associate with others. I have been so blessed in during my life when I am striving to help others and lift them up. I have been given the opportunity to lead many groups of youth during my teenage years, both in church callings and in the community. Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father are my ultimate examples. I strive to be like them wherever I am, so that I can, in turn, be that example to others. As a missionary I devote every day to serving the Lord through teaching the people of Macon Georgia about our Savior Jesus Christ. There is no more fulfilling job than helping someone change their life and come unto Christ. By serving others I have gained a greater testimony of Jesus Christ and his atonement.
