Hi I'm Carmen

I'm from the middle of nowhere, North Carolina. I play the clarinet, I love Harry Potter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 children. My family is in the process of adopting my 2 youngest siblings who are currently in our home for foster care. I am a music education major and I am preparing to serve a full-time mission. I play the clarinet and I love to sing. I have a great love for marching band. I also enjoy competitive sports and activities such as volleyball and kickball. I love spending time being with and getting to know other people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this Church has given me the knowledge and the tools necessary for happiness. I know that my Father in heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ love me. I know that families can be together forever. The things I have learned in the LDS Church have helped me to strengthen my personal relationship with Christ. I have prayed to know that the Book of Mormon is true and received a confirmation that it is, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that this is Christ's true church! I have felt love and support from my Savior as I follow him. I know that the pathway to eternal happiness is found here.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the president of a relief organization for the women in the young single adult branch I attend. In this calling, I oversee the spiritual and physical welfare of the sisters in the branch as we participate in service together. I am preparing to serve a mission for the Church in the Colorado Denver North Mission! I strive to be an example of Christ to everyone I associate with.
