Hi I'm Matthew Anderson

I am now serving as a missionary in the Charleston West Virginia Mission. I love the Gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very social person. I love to play sports especially basketball. I have currently got my mission call to Charleston, West Virginia and I am very excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and felt the spirit. I have realized that the spirit doesn't come easily. Sometimes in order to realize how strong the spirit can be we have to face our trials head on, Then, when it seems that we have fallen, we pray with all our might to find the answers we need. I have found this also helps us find how strong we can be. Trials come all the time like fiery darts. So we need the true doctrine of Christ to protect us of those darts that will eventually beat us down until we cant do it anymore. This religion teaches and acts on principles of life that will help us in any way that we need. If anyone needs help, read the Book of Mormon. Pray with real intent to know if it is true. You will find your answer.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is like becoming a better basketball player. At first the drills that my coach gives me may seem like it is a waste of time. But then when I realize the outcome of those drills. I realize the importance of keeping with it. And even though sometimes I don't know why I have to do some drills, I can know the outcome. Because it is that same coach that taught me before and I succeeded. Just like a coach on a basketball team. We also have a coach for life. But this coach doesn't get impatient, He isn't on a time schedule. He is patient. He is our Father. He has given us the equipment to help us gain more and more knowledge, and are here for us to use. The equipment is my scriptures. They are of great importance in my life. I keep them sacred by appreciating them, and taking care of them. Some things we have to change in order to reach our goal. My Goal is to get back to my Father in heaven. I made a promise to always follow His teachings. I keep making changes so that I don't let him down. Along with that promise he promises us that he will grant us blessings. And I see them more and more everyday.
