Hi I'm Elizabeth Goldrup

I grew up in America, Jordan, South Africa, China, and England. I'm serving a mission in Australia speaking Mandarin. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up travelling the world, because of my dad's work in the Foreign Service. I just finished my freshman year in college. Growing up overseas has given me a great appreciation for other cultures, and I intend to continue studying the Chinese Language. In college, I also intend to study studio art. I also would like to eventually go to medical school to study to be an opthamologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have seen how my membership in this church has put me on a path to becoming who I was sent here to be. To me, the message of this church is that our God loves us, and wants us to be as happy as we can be. He sees us, hears us and knows us. He loves us, and and that is why he has given us Prophets in the modern day, and a restored gospel to provide us a more clear picture. The church is a community of people on who are trying their hardest, with the most complete gospel, to become more like Christ, and become closer to God. I am so grateful to be a part of this organization.

How I live my faith

Moving around so much has definitely bound my family closer together, and I am very grateful for the opportunities and perspective this has given me. I enjoy learning about my family's history, and I hope to continue this work. I have often grown up in schools and communities in which I am the only member of my faith. As I abide by the standards of conduct, such as attending my meetings, and callings in my ward and following the word of wisdom, I learn more and more about why my faith is important to me and my family. I see a little bit more everyday of how these codes that I live by define me and put me on a path for becoming closer to who I am supposed to be. I am currently serving a full time mission in Australia, Melbourne speaking Mandarin Chinese. I am not perfect, and I am not a perfect teacher. I don't even have a perfect testimony of all things. What I do know, though is that I am a child of god, and I know that that is important to my Heavenly Father because he knows me and loves me. I am living my faith by doing my part to grow, and reaching out to others and trying to help them grow.
