Hi I'm Mark

I'm a British DJ and Liverpool FC fan. I love comedy. I love California. I love my family. I'm a mad Dad. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Previously a Roman Catholic, I was baptised LDS at 11 years of age but only truly converted as a 20 year old missionary serving in Fresno, California. Now a husband for 25 years and a father to three grown up daughters. I've been lucky enough to take my family back to my mission field and they've made friends with the people who helped me as a young missionary. A true social network that has been around longer and is far more real than any website. I love music and comedy. My favourite film is Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but I also enjoy any good family movies especially those with Steve Martin. I have DJ-ed for nearly 20 years and also I have learned to play the Saxophone. I watch (real) football and have supported Liverpool FC since I was old enough to stand up by myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have an unmovable knowledge and testimony that the Book of Mormon is true scripture, that we have a living prophet who communes with a loving Heavenly Father, that as a young man, Joseph Smith was visited by Heavenly Father AND Jesus Christ who instructed him to re-establish the church, giving him the keys and authority, the correct Priesthood power with which to do so. I love the gospel. I have an eternal perspective and a sure knowledge that this life is NOT all we have. Families really are forever.

How I live my faith

I've been extremely priviliged to be able to serve over and over again with generations of young people, both youth and Young Single Adults. Physically my energy is lower now, but my mind still functions and i can contribute just as well. I am proud of so many young people who have gone on to serve within the gospel and it is so true that they are the leaders of tomorrow.
