Hi I'm Nathan

I ponder a lot. I love having younger siblings. I enjoy wordplay. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the New York, New York South Mission. I'm pretty excited to be here. I enjoy tennis, piano, reading, archery, and cracking jokes. I studied one year at Utah State University, which was a great time. I ❤️ NY! I have three brothers and two sisters, one of whom will be serving a mission before I return home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly have felt in my heart that this is the path God wants me to follow. I have had others question, belittle, and even attack my faith. I have read or been told information against my faith, and found it to be only negative energy. When I follow the precepts taught by Christ in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I find happiness. Questions will continue to arise, and doubts may still come, but I am a Mormon because I have tried to do as the gospel suggests, and have always received answers and solutions to my circumstances. I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church restored to the earth by our loving Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith did in reality see God and Jesus Christ, and I cannot deny it. I know that President Monson is the Prophet today. I know that we are being led in these latter days by people who are guided and inspired by the Lord.

How I live my faith

As an obvious answer, I live my faith by being a missionary. Going out into the world, talking to people, trying to help them come closer to Christ. I knock doors, talk to people at red lights from the car, and teach people about Prophets and how they help me know that God loves us all. As a more unseen answer, I live my faith by improving. The gospel is a cycle, repeated over and over again, until we reach perfection. Since I am certainly not yet at perfection status, I continue to grow through study and faith, through service to others, through deciding each day to be better than the last. All things are given to us by God. Our relationships, our talents, our world. Taking care of and increasing our Physical, Mental, Spiritual, and Emotional stature gives glory to God. That is His purpose and plan for us, to become perfect as he is, and live happily.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a conglomeration of the writings of ancient prophets. People of days long past had inspiration and revelation from God, just as we have today. They were commanded to write down important commandments, revelations, and other church doctrine for the benefit of their descendants and other nations. So they did. Prophets of old, given the inspiration and sanction of God, wrote the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
