Hi I'm Logan

I was born in Provo but grew up in Washington State. I love to run Cross Country and Distance in Track. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah while my parents attended Brigham Young University. I have 4 siblings, 2 younger sisters and 2 brothers, 1 older and 1 younger, the baby of the family. At the age of 1 I was diagnosed with which is a lack of Red Blood Cells. It required an immediate blood transfusion to get me back to stable. This scared my parents but we made it through. My family moved to Anacortes, Washington when I was 4 and I attended Kindergarten through 7th grade their. Soccer was my past-time while going through school and my 9 years I played it gave me a great love for the game. My dad's job suddenly changed towards the end of my 7th grade year and we transplanted our family back to Utah. We moved to Kaysville and I struggled to find friends. I think I wanted immediate relationships just like the ones I had built over the 9 years in Washington. With the move to Utah, I started playing lacrosse instead of soccer, and then after 2 years of that, found my true love in Running. It came off of me deciding to run Cross Country to keep me in shape for spring lacrosse but once Track came around the spring of my sophomore year, I couldn't give it up. Running kept me motivated and got me through high school. I had a desire to run each mile faster than previous and I later got good enough to be recruited by Utah Valley University to run Track and Cross country for them. Learning the college game as well as running for them has been such an amazing part of my life the last year.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ as an infant but wasn't truthfully converted until this past year. The past year has been amazing as I have gained a steadfast testimony. I moved out and got on my own at college and came to my own realization of how much I love my savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I got to see the blessings of the Book of Mormon and how true and powerful of a book it is. During my time at college, I took the time to watch our church wide general conference and to hear the words of our Modern-day Prophet, Thomas Spencer Monson as well the the other Apostles of the church. My testimony grew with their words and call to serve a mission. Growing up in the church without a developed testimony wasn't too hard for me because of the love that was here as well as all the good principles and values taught along with the doctrine. Even if all the doctrine was wrong, which I am so happy to testify that it is not wrong, I always felt like me and my family were growing closure, as well as closure with God, and just becoming better people by following its simple teachings. I have gained such a love for the church and I have seen the fruits of my work for the church as I see my blessings every single day.

How I live my faith

My Faith is My Life!!! I live my life in a way that I hope is as pleasing to God as it can be. I, definitely not perfect but I always try my best. I attend my church meeting every Sunday so that I can worship and take the sacrament. Over the last year, I have served as one of 3 of my wards Hometeaching Supervisors. Each of us has Home Teaching assignments where we watch over and take care of a few other families and individuals. This, along with being a supervisor, gave me the opportunity to serve 5 young women and 3 men that lived in my apartment complex on a monthly basis. I also got to live my faith continuously as I shared my beliefs with my roommates on an almost daily basis. They saw me praying, avoiding negative media, reading my scriptures, and doing my callings which sparked their interest. Spreading and living my faith will be even more of my life starting June 26th where I am entering the missionary training center in Provo Utah. While there, I will be refining my knowledge of the Gospel as well as gaining an introduction to Portuguese which is the language that I will get to speak when I get to Mozambique Africa 6 weeks later. I will be spending the next 2 years studying, learning, and sharing the gospel with the people of Mozambique. It will be so amazing!
