Hi I'm Preston Miller

I am currently serving in the California Irvine mission. I come from Utah. I want to go into either psychology when I get home.

About Me

I am from Orem, Utah. I am currently serving in the California Irvine mission, and I am loving every second of it. In two years, when I get home, I will attend Brigham Young University where I will study psychology and sociology. I am considering becoming a psychiatrist after college in the hope that I will be able to help others over come their challanges and hardships. I am also considering the path of law school. I enjoy reading epic fantasy novels after the tradition of J.R.R. Tolkien, and I am a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson's works. I also enjoy classical literature, such as Pride and Prejudice, and the Scarlet Letter. I love to sing and act, and have stared in multiple shows, including Guys and Dolls and Annie. I have found a passion for public speaking and debate, and had a great time participating in mock trial during high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Gospel, and the peace, joy, and security that it brings into my life. Mormonism has assured me that everything in this life will, in the end, be made right through our Savior Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because it gives me the assurance that I will be able to live with my family forever through obedience to God's laws. I am a Mormon because Mormonism is about love. It's about helping and caring for and healing others. It's about bringing others to the light and goodness of the Gospel and of Christ, and helping them have a better life. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know that this is His Church, restored to the earth in this age of the world, and I want to serve Him.

How I live my faith

My goal is to make my faith the center of my life. Throughout my high school career I held multiple callings in the church: A youth leader in all of my young mens classes, a member on seminary council for Mountain View High School, and a member of stake youth council. While I am on my mission, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is becoming who I am and what I love. The Gospel has brought be great joy, and I love serving the Lord and sharing that joy with others. When I return home, it is my goal to become a member missionary. I plan on working as hard as I can to help others increase their faith and come unto Jesus Christ. I believe that missionary work is the greatest work that a person can immerse themselves in, and thus I plan on participating it my whole life long.
