Hi I'm Brayden

I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. My hobbies include watching movies, running and exercising, and being a nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

我從美國來可是我目前在台灣傳教 我願意這樣做是因為我有閱讀基督的話在聖經和摩爾門經 我知道祂所教得是真實的 I ran all four years of varsity track and cross country. Being part of the team allowed me to do something I love and make many great friends as well. Running out on the farm trails is where I feel totally worry free. There is so much wide-spread beauty to admire while enjoying the run. Some of my friends and family say I work out too much, because I also enjoy lifting and working out at the gym too. I'd say it is a blessing that I find so much enjoyment in pushing myself to improve. I attended two semesters at BYU-Idaho. While living on my own for the first time I realized that Greek yogurt, potatoes, Ramen Noodles, eggs, and apples became the bulk of my diet. College was great though, and I can't wait to continue learning. Although being a nerd may be a lot cooler now than it has been before, I take pride in the fact that I have been spending weekends gaming since I was a kid. I am a huge fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, super heroes, and others. As of late, Starcraft and especially Magic the Gathering have been my two favorite games.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have said, there is great peace that can come from hobbies such as running or kicking back with friends, but nothing makes me feel more complete than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While studying this faith more than ever before, I keep telling my friends and family it is "truer, and truer, and truer". Nothing makes as much sense to me as the structure of the Lord's Church. I am able to know where I come from, why I am here, and what potential I have in the life to come. Growing up LDS, I have sometimes made the mistake of taking that blessing for granted. I have seen so many examples set by older members who have given their whole lives to serving their fellow brothers and sisters, and I want to live my life just like them. The message that we have is a message of hope, and love. I know there is nothing I would rather cling to while living life here on earth than a message I know to be true, and can help me with all aspects of my life. I have prayed and felt the Spirit many times tell me that I am not mistaken in believing that this is God's true church on the earth. My testimony is constantly strengthened by people who share their own. I am so excited to help other people find blessings that can only be found here in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

There have been many callings for me to participate in growing up, including my most recent calling as second counselor to the Elders Quorum President of my student ward in BYU-I. We had a great time getting to know the awesome Elders in our ward, and I am very grateful to be part of this marvelous religion that keeps people so involved and loved. "Home teaching" was something I have always loved, and it is very similar to missionary work. The bulk of those meetings were often chatting with and befriending the people we taught, and then shared a brief message about the gospel. While I was a teenager I was lucky and blessed to have my father as a companion in this process, then in college I was able to teach with another Elder just about to go on a mission. I served as a full time missionary for two years in Taiwan as well and completely loved it.
