Hi I'm Boston

I'm part of an amazing and loving family. I love to read, dance, and run. I'm no where near perfect. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Some of the best parts of serving a mission are; meeting new people, learning to understand and live with a companion 24/7, studying the gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening my relationship with God, and sharing what I love most and know to be true with as many people as I can. I have a very loving and a very big family. The gospel and my family mean everything to me! I love all kinds of music, dancing, eating desserts, all kinds of sports and outdoor activities!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. I can feel something stirring in me when I live it. I have changed and my perspective of life has changed because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement of Jesus Christ (when Christ suffered and died for us) allows us to fully repent of our sins and become spotless from them. He purifies the desires of our hearts and helps us to change our lives. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. I feel God's love every day. At a very young age I tested my faith to know if God really cared about me. I said a prayer in my room. I was doubting my earthly father loved me. I asked Heavenly Father to help me to know that my father did love me. Then I asked Him to reveal to me if He was listening. Not five minutes later my father came down the hall in the middle of the night and opened my bedroom door. He saw I was awake and asked if I was okay. Then I felt something very light press on my heart. I know it was the Spirit comforting me and witnessing to me that God loves me and is aware of me. I know God answers prayers. I continue to feel His love for me through the power of prayer. Through the scriptures, the Bible and The Book of Mormon, His prophets, and this church, the Lord has given me strength through the toughest trials in my life yet. And he will continue to guide me through as I have faith in him. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Christ came to earth to atone for my sins so that I may return to a loving God. I know this is God's plan of happiness and that we are lead by a loving prophet of God today.

How I live my faith

In my congregation for singles, I served on the compassionate service committee. I was the one to go to if any of the women in our ward knew of anyone else in need of service. For example we visit sisters who are sick or had surgery. Mostly our job was to do our best to make all the women in the ward feel like they had a friend. I also served as a leader of a "Family Home Evening" group. I set up activities for my group of young single adults for each Monday evening. We would begin with a spiritual thought and a prayer. Some of our favorites included Human Foosball, a friendly softball game, and a cookie scavenger hunt. It was a great way to get to know the other young single adults in our congregation and make everyone feel included. When we have strong relationships with each other built on friendship and service, we can lift each other up and strengthen our faith. I am also serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have the opportunity to meet new people and share Christ's restored gospel and God's love for them. It is the best experience I have ever had. I am closer to Christ and Heavenly Father because of the way I serve and live.
