Hi I'm Chelsea McVey

I love to play rugby, and to be on stage singing. I am a Sister missionary in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission; I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hi! I'm Chelsea. Prior to my mission I was a nanny for three years. I lived in Maryland for a year, then Pennsylvania for a year after that, then in Southern California for a year and a half. I love to read, sing and play rugby. I played rugby for 2 years in High School and one year after. I love it more than any other sport! I love musicals; both being in them and watching them! And if the mood strikes belting them out when I'm home alone ;) I am a big of a book nerd. I will usually read whatever I can get my hands on. I love hanging out with friends, and being outside. I am always up for anything; beach days, movies, dancing, just hanging out; whatever anyone is in the mood for. I am a little Disney obsessed. I go to Disneyland whenever I possibly can, and usually convince people to go with me. I love people and I love being happy! I have been serving in the New Hampshire Manchester mission since September 2014 and go home March 2016. I love being able to serve the Lord and serve others with all the I have in me. I love the people that I meet day to day who want to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Gospel. I have lived without it and I know now that I need it in my life. It makes me happy, and continues to bring peace into my life, and the lives of my family members. I know that Joseph Smith restored this Gospel on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true; that it was written so that we can gain a great understanding of our Savior Jesus Christ, and a greater understanding of what it means to have a Savior. I know that we have a living prophet, and his name is Thomas S. Monson. He gives us divine guidance and instruction, so that we may return to our Father in Heaven. I know that Christ lives, and that He has the power to heal us. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness, by the power of the Holy Ghost, through prayer, that the Book of Mormon is true. And because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith is a prophet and was called to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness to bless our lives. The only thing that can come from trying all this out, is a greater understanding of God the Father and of His son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving in the New England area as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint's for 18 months of my life. We do this voluntarily to help others come unto Christ by teaching them about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been been restored in it's fullness and other aspects of the gospel, such as; how we can be with our families forever, about life after death, and about the great love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for each of us. I live my faith by doing my best to serve others in every way possible and by loving others unconditionally. I live it by being happy under any circumstance.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Chelsea McVey
Pray about it. That is truly the best way. I would encourage you to study and ponder all that you have been taught, to go to a quiet place without anything to distract you, and to pray for truth. You will feel the spirit, you might not have a name for the feeling, but it will be warm and good and peaceful. Our Heavenly Father wants you to be happy, He wants you to know truth. He will guide you. Show more Show less
