Hi I'm Kristen

I eat ice cream with a fork, I love giraffes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've played sports for as long as I can remember, and I love them all... especially soccer. :) I went to BYU in Provo for a year and a half, then took a break from school to serve a full-time mission in Tallahassee, Florida! I love music of almost all kinds. I taught myself to play guitar, and learned to play the piano by listening to music and then playing what I heard. I love listening to music, and finding new songs/bands to listen to! I always eat ice cream with a fork... 'cause why not? ya know? My favorite color is yellow, and I love giraffes... they're the best. I'm probably going to ride one someday. I like hanging out with my friends, and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've experienced the blessings of the gospel for myself. We all experience trials and hard times, but the gospel brings a peace that the world just doesn't have. I love knowing that no matter what's happening in my life, there is always someone who knows me perfectly. That I can always turn to the Savior, and things will undoubtedly get better. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, restored to the earth in it's fullness. The truthfulness of the restored gospel is evident each time I attend church or read the scriptures. I'm grateful for the gospel in my life, and I know that it's shaped me to become who I am today.

How I live my faith

I try to just "be an example of the believers." I know that the gospel has blessed my life so much, and I want everyone else to be able to experience that joy as well! I served a mission so that I could share the gospel with everyone. In order to be the best that we can, all we have to do is look to the Savior. I know that as I strive to be more like him, I can grow towards my divine potential.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is a lot like being anyone else. We're just normal people living life! We try to love and serve those around us, and set high standards of living so that we can be happier throughout our lives. I've found that as I've lived in harmony with church doctrine, I'm able to be more healthy and happy. The knowledge I've accumulated throughout my life has helped me to have hope and know that no matter what my trials are in life, I can grow from them and become better through them. As I rely on the Savior through my trials, I am able to grow closer to Him and Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
